USS Laffey - The Ship that Would Not Die

April 16th, 1945:

During radar picket duty off the coast of Okinawa, the American destroyer USS Laffey became the target of the most harrowing kamikaze attack in history.

In this worker-placement solitare game, you will move from station to station activating special abilities and controlling damage as you race to keep the ship afloat. But you can’t be everywhere at once so each turn is a desperate and calculated gamble to hold the ship until every aircraft attack is resolved.

Will you use the 40mm cannons to shoot down the attacking Japanese aircraft? Maybe you’ll gain repair supplies from storage, or focus on constant communications with the bridge. But be mindful of the fires and leaks that can send your team to sick bay and spell doom to the Laffey…
