Description
In the mid-1960s, a most unusual game was invented. It used a giant floor mat for a gameboard and used real people as playing pieces. Because players turned and twisted around each other on the monstrous mat, the concept with dubbed "Pretzel." The inventor brought the prototype to the Milton Bradley Company where it was renamed Twister. The Twister game was initially marketed to teenagers and sales were sluggish.
Then came the big twist!
In 1966, the host of a late night show and a famous actress played the game on air. The sight of the two entwined and entangled, sent the audience into hysterics and Americans rushing to the stores to buy their own Twister game. Three million copies blew off the shelves in the first year as the Twister game took the nation by storm!
Now you can take a step back in time! Shake off your shoes! Spread out your polka-dot Twister mat and smell the vinyl! Then grab a partner and get twisted - all over again!
