Legend says he was so grief-stricken, he promised to build her a breathtaking mausoleum, unrivalled in its grandeur. A tribute in wood and stone that would become a living symbol of his love.
It took 22 years and 22000 Workers & Karigars (Artisans), and several elephants to build the Taj Mahal in Agra, India.
